This screen displays asset positions which are completed or closed.
Date - displays trade date of closing transaction.
Action - displays transaction:
SELL = sell, COVER = cover, INT = interest, DIV = dividend, CAP DIST = capital gains distribution.
Quantity:
For stocks and mutual funds = total number of shares for each security.
For options = total number of contracts.
For bonds or brokered CDs = total face amount of all bonds or brokered CDs in this transaction.
For regular CDs = total number of all identical certificates.
For precious metals = number of identical units (coins, bar, etc.)
For cash = total dollar amount.
Open Cost - is the cost including commission of each asset, by lot.
Closed Amount - is the total value of a given position when closed, including closing commissions.
Realized Gain/Loss - is the difference between Closed Amount and Open Cost in dollars and in percent. These amounts represent your actual profit or loss, and are reported to the Internal Revenue Service.
Show Open - click to display Open Positions for this asset.
Edit - click to access Edit Closed Transaction screen (or double click on selected transaction).
Note: To delete a Closed Transaction, see Help on Edit Closed Transaction.
Report Card - Click on this icon the open the report card of information on the security whose Closed Transactions you are viewing. This is the same report card available from the Research database.
